2022 Brock Open Event Details

Hosted by the Brock Varsity Fencing team and the Niagara Swords Fencing Club
Sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation

All events will be included in the Canadian National domestic ranking and select events will be included in the Ontario Fencing Association selection ranking. Events with less than six (6) participants may be merged with events of the opposite gender.

This competition will be run in accordance with the current FIE Regulations. The Directoire Technique and competition host retain the right to apply or modify these regulations.

Memberships and Licenses

All Canadian participants are required to have a valid CFF License. You may purchase or renew your memberships here: https://fencing.ca/purchase-a-cff-licence/

USFA members will be required to show proof of current USFA membership at check in.

Registration Fees

Prior to November 15th, 2023 11:59pm

Administration fee (non-refundable):      $20.00
Event fee:                                                                  $65.00

From November 16th, 2022 to November 18th 5:00pm

Administration fee (non-refundable):      $50.00
Event fee:                                                                  $150.00

On-site registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis, at $300 per event.

Senior (13+) – YOB 2010 or earlier
Junior (12-19) – YOB 2011 – 2004
Cadet (12-16) – YOB 2011 – 2007
U15 (12-14) – YOB 2011 – 2009
Veteran (40+) – YOB 1984 or earlier

Clothing Standards

This competition will be following the CFF recommended Clothing and Equipment standards for domestic competitions. Equipment checks will occur onsite each day of the event.

All fencers are REQUIRED to wear a sous plastron and fencing pants. All foil fencers are required to have a conductive foil bib. NEW FOR 2019: Female foil fencers ARE required to have the new padded chest protector.
